Verschueren: "Another striker? Maybe"

INTERVIEWS It is not excluded that Anderlecht will attract an extra striker in the last week of the transfer period. That is what Michael Verschueren says. But the sports director also expects goals from boys like Michel Vlap and Yari Verschaeren.


When asked whether there will be an extra striker next week, Verschueren answers 'maybe'. "It also depends on the four or five players who can still leave this week," he says. The players who leave must provide the necessary money. Because so far, Anderlecht have already spent more than it has collected this summer.

But even without an extra striker, Verschueren finds the team offensive sufficiently armed. "In this system, Vlap and Verschaeren also have to get into scoring position," he says. "With seven newcomers, we have enough to win games. It is therefore not certain whether anyone else will be added."
