INTERVIEWS The international break is over and this weekend is already matchday 7 in the national competition. RSC Anderlecht are playing Antwerp FC this weekend. "We are trying to form a block against Antwerp, just like against Standard. Only then will we look ahead to the game against Club Brugge," says Michael Verschueren.

After a difficult start, in which Anderlecht only gained two points out of five games, a sweeping victory followed against arch-rival Standard Luik last matchday. "The international break was not an inconvenience for us," explains Verschueren. "Many boys were absent due to injuries or international obligations. Those two weeks were the best way to recover some boys, including Vincent Kompany."

"Two more top players are already waiting, and we have to be there in these games. Everything is evolving in the right direction," continues Verschueren. "Every day we see progress. Of course the fans want to see their team win at the end of the ride, like against Standard. We hope to continue that trend against Antwerp".

"The coming weeks will also make us a lot stronger with the return of Kemar Roofe. We want to win at least one of the upcoming top matches. Then we will have a bit more rest and we can slowly start looking towards the top 6", Verschueren said from Manchester, where he attends Vincent Kompany's testimonial with the Anderlecht selection tonight.
