Van Holsbeeck questioned by police

OTHER Following Christophe Henrotay, former Anderlecht manager Herman Van Holsbeeck was also arrested this morning. He must explain in a file of financial fraud in Belgian football. He is currently being examined by the examining magistrate.


This is the same investigation for which top agent Christophe Henrotay and an employee were previously arrested. Van Holsbeeck and Henrotay have worked together several times in the past. This was among other things the case with the transfers of Aleksandar Mitrovic to Newcastle United, and the transfer of Youri Tielemans to AS Monaco.

Henrotay would have paid commissions to Van Holsbeeck for transfers of players to and from Anderlecht. The club and players would have known nothing about this.
