GAMES Frank Vercauteren did not miss his return to Anderlecht. In his first match, the Purple & White beats STVV (4-1). With two goals and an assist, Nacer Chadli was once again the best player. The 17-year-old Marco Kana and Kemar Roofe scored their first for Anderlecht.
Anderlecht had a dream start. After five minutes, Chadli nicely curled a free kick into the goal. Ten minutes later Kana, for the first time in the starting line-up, headed the 2-0 into the net. After the 2-0 the game was watering down. Saelemaekers was looking for the 3-0 and on the other side De Bruyn and Boli were dangerous.
After the break, STVV went a step further while it seemed that Anderlecht had another physical recoil. This resulted in Boli's 2-1 just past the hour. The striker benefited from a miss by Sardella. Five minutes later, Roofe put the 3-1 on the board and the game was played. Outstanding Chadli put the icing on the cake with number four.
