TRANSFERS Before the opening of the transfer market, Anderlecht have made its first transfer. New York Red Bulls Panamanian right-wing Michael Amir Murillo (23) landed in Brussels.

The left and right back positions of Anderlecht are equally problematic. Gaps are yawning and these are now filled by central defenders. Murillo now offers a solution for the hole on the right wing. He comes from New York Red Bulls, active in the MLS where the season is already over and could therefore be guided in our capital and at the club today.

In addition to his club career, the Panamanian also has an international career: he played 36 games for the national team, including those against Belgium (3-0) at the World Cup in Russia. At that world championship he was a fixture there, but due to a yellow suspension he had to let the last group match pass him by. This is what immediately characterizes Murillo: he is not afraid to set his foot. He also has running capacity, is technically skilled and has a good length with his 1.83 meter.

The arrival of Murillo does, however, raise questions about written off or injured right backs like Chipciu and Najar. In June they are at the end of the contract and they might also have to leave. In addition, Athony Vanden Borre also still walks around at the club. He might be the direct competitor of the first winter acquisition.
