Van Crombrugge and Kompany in Belgian players' council

OTHER At the initiative of the players' union Sporta, a players' council was set up today with players from 1A and 1B. The players' council wants to be a voice in policy decisions that concern them. Hendrik Van Crombrugge is one of the members. Vincent Kompany is also involved.


Following the corona crisis, Sporta gathered players from different clubs into a WhatsApp group. The players' council has now grown from this. "We just held our first meeting with a video conference. We are now giving the Pro League, the Football Association and various governments the opportunity to integrate ourselves into the policy bodies," it sounds.

Anderlecht goalkeeper Hendrik Van Crombrugge is one of the members of the players' council. In addition to him, Simon Mignolet (Club Brugge), Vadis Odjidja (AA Gent), Zinho Vanheusden (Standard), Sebastien Dewaest (Genk), Faris Haroun (Antwerp), Igor De Camargo (KV Mechelen), Davy De fauw (Zulte) -Waregem), Jérémy Taravel (Cercle Brugge), Siebe Blondelle (Eupen), David Hubert (OH Leuven), Glenn Neven (Lommel), Joren Dom (Beerschot) and Guillaume François (RE Virton) participate in the council.

Vincent Kompany is also part of the group as an representative of the FIFPRO Global Player Council (international players' organization).
