TRANSFERS In the Latvian media Tolu Arokodare tells that he really wants to go to Anderlecht and does not understand that his team Valmiera is obstructing it. "Anderlecht is the ideal next step in my career", says Arokodare. "Valmiera could catch a record sum."
On Sunday, Arokodare did not play with his club. "I was mentally incapable. I felt down and couldn't train because of what happened," Arokodare refers to Valmiera's refusal to let him go.
"Anderlecht is the club I need so that I can develop as a player. Belgium has a good competition. It would be a good step in my career," said Arokodare. According to the 19-year-old Nigerian, his club would also benefit. "My sales would be a record in the history of Latvian football." In some circles they talk about an amount of one to one and a half million euros.
"After a conversation with my agent, I proposed to my club to stay until the end of the season and to go to Anderlecht in January, but they did not agree with that either", said Arokodare. "I don't understand that. It's very unfair. I will not accept any other offer than the one from Anderlecht."
