INJURIES Bad news for Elias Cobbaut: investigation has shown that the defender broke his ankle on Friday in Ostend. Het Nieuwsblad knows that. The Malinois will not be able to play football for four months.

After an innocent aerial duel with Arthur Théate, Cobbaut came down badly. He limped to the side and in the locker room his ankle swelled up completely. Yesterday an ultrasound showed that the joint is broken. Cobbaut is out until the winter break.

After Vincent Kompany, Anderlecht loses a second central defender in a short time. Hannes Delcroix is the only left-footed central deender who remains in the first team. Antonio Milic and James Lawrence still languish in the depths of Neerpede, but Kompany does not count on them. There is a good chance that te Purple & White will enter the market.
