Selection: no Vlap, Ait El Hadj only 10

GAMES Vincent Kompany has made some striking choices for his selection for the first match of 2021. Michel Vlap and Bogdan Mykhaylichenko are missing from the twenty names. Kompany does take four strikers to Leuven.


No Vlap, but also no Mario Stroeykens in the selection for tomorrow's game against OH Leuven. Anouar Ait El Hadj is the only number ten in the selection. Kompany does have a place for the more defensive midfielders Marco Kana and Kristian Arnstad.

It is also striking that Kompany also counts on Landry Dimata, Antoine Colassin and Mohammed Dauda in addition to Lukas Nmecha. Four strikers for one position. Or will Kompany play with two strikers?

The new goalkeeper Warner Hahn is immediately in the selection. The absence of guys like Derrick Luckassen and Peter Zulj is no surprise. Lucas Lissens is serving his second and last suspension day.
