INTERVIEWS Majeed Ashimeru feels good at RSC Anderlecht. He certainly would be interested in an extended stay, but first he wants to help the club in Play-off 1. He will consider what the future will bring afterwards.

The Purple & White negotiated a purchase option of 2.5 million euros on Ashimeru. There is more to more voices to lift that too, especially in the event that Albert Sambi Lokonga would visit other places during the summer mercato.

The start of Ashimeru in Brussels was difficult and that was mainly due to Covid-19, he came back positively from Ghana and was sidelined for a few weeks. "I was so tired and had bad headaches. I didn't taste my food anymore and my appetite was actually zero. It took me a long time to get rid of all the symptoms."

Against Antwerp it seemed as if Ashimeru got injured, now that it appears that he mainly suffered from cramps. He is not completely fit yet after his corona infection, but it is getting better every week. The focus is now completely on Sunday and Play-off 1 of course. "I know how important Play-off 1 is for the club. That is my priority now, we'll see how things go afterwards."
