"Veljkovic claimed he could fix matches"

INTERVIEWS Roger Vanden Stock in a rare interview, he does not shy away from a subject. At one point, he even says that Dejan Veljkovic was in his office saying he could influence matches.


The old board is often accused of giving too much power to Mogi Bayat. "I've always gotten along with Mogi Bayat. He may have been too expensive, but he was always correct," says Vanden Stock.

"Dejan Veljkovic, that was a different story", the ex-chairman continues, "At one point he stood in my office claiming that he could influence matches. I immediately threw him out. One storm around bribery in my career was enough. That's why it hurts when I hear Roland Dûchatelet proclaim that we bought the title in 2014. Our titles came through good policy, nothing else. "
