Ashimeru stays with Anderlecht

OTHER Loan player Ashimeru stays with Anderlecht. At least that is what Het Nieuwsblad proclaims. The option on the Ghanaian midfielder was not lifted recently, but Anderlecht would have been able to buy  him cheaper now.


Ashimeru cost € 2.5 million through a purchase option, but Anderlecht decided not to use that option. Nevertheless, it had the intention to keep Ashimeru and talks with Red Bull Salzburg were started. The player himself wanted to stay in Brussels and kept in touch with Kompany. Ashimeru would sign for four years.
