First offer for Utrecht striker Church rejected

TRANSFERS Anderlecht has made an offer of four million euros for Gyrano Kerk, a 25-year-old striker of FC Utrecht. That writes De Telegraaf and is confirmed by Het Laatste Nieuws. The offer was rejected, but according to De Telegraaf Anderlecht would prepare a new offer.


In addition to the four million euros, Anderlecht also offered a percentage on a possible resale, but Utrecht wants more. Kerk still has a contract for two years and his market value is estimated at six million euros.

Kerk has been a fixture at Utrecht for five years now. In 140 Eredivisie matches, he scored 36 times and provided 34 assists. Utrecht knows that various foreign clubs are showing interest and Kerk himself would be happy with a transfer to Anderlecht, according to De Telegraaf.
