"When he has confidence, Michel can be deadly dangerous"

INTERVIEWS Although La Dernière Heure continues to name Michel Vlap among the players who have to leave, his agent Johan Hansma is convinced that Vlap will seize his chance at Anderlecht. "Anderlecht now play in a slightly different system and that should suit Michel better."


Despite a brilliant start against Bayern Munich, Michel Vlap's loan to Bielefeld was not a success. After a change of coach in March, he ended up on the bench and he didn't play a minute in the last games. "But because of the tough training sessions, Michel has become a lot stronger in Germany," says Hansma in Het Laatste Nieuws.

Hansma repeats his words from earlier this week that he, Vlap and Peter Verbeke had a conversation about Vlap's future and that they all three see it at Anderlecht. "And Michel is going full for this opportunity," said Hansma. According to the manager, Vlap can give Anderlecht scoring ability. "If he has confidence, Michel is extremely dangerous in and around the sixteen."

The fact that the competition is tough does not scare Vlap. "He just gets energy out of it," says Hansma. According to Hansma you need several good players if you are going for the top. "If you don't realize that, you shouldn't start the challenge. It's good for Michel that he is part of the beautiful project.
