Transfer Bornauw gives Anderlecht extra transfer budget

TRANSFERS Sebastiaan Bornauw made a top transfer from Cologne to Wolfsburg. The German number four has just confirmed this. The transfer is also good news for Anderlecht, because the Purple & White is entitled to a percentage of the transfer fee.


Bornauw will play the Champions League with Wolfsburg next season. According to Bild, the Volkswagen club, where Lukas Nmecha is also mentioned, will pay at least 15 million euros.

Cologne paid Anderlecht 6 million euros for Bornauw two years ago and it negotiated a percentage of the resale. Depending on the source, we read that it concerns 25 or 30 percent, but it is unclear whether that refers to the added value or to the full transfer fee. Anyway, Bornauw will still bring in a nice amount for Anderlecht.
