Official: Zirkzee to Anderlecht

TRANSFERS Anderlecht have completed the loan of Joshua Zirkzee. The 20-year-old striker from the Netherlands comes over from Bayern Munich for one season. Purple & White has no purchase option. "The arrival of Zirkzee fits in with our philosophy to guide young players in their development and to achieve results," says sporting director Peter Verbeke.


"Joshua is a young striker with huge potential," said Verbeke. "He can keep the ball, is good in combination and has a good individual action. In this way we add extra quality to our selection."

Zirkzee is also happy with the temporary transfer to Brussels. "After a phone call with Vincent Kompany, there was an immediate click," he says on rsca.be. "I felt a lot of confidence from the club and the playing style and the project really appeals to me. I feel ready to contribute to the team and to help the club achieve its goals."
