Refaelov leads Anderlecht to victory

GAMES Anderlecht have celebrated its return to Europe with a 0-3 victory over Albanian Laçi. Purple & White's football was not great, but newcomer and Golden Boot Lior Refaelov showed the way with two assists and a goal.


In a warm Albania, Anderlecht started searching. Possession was there, but it didn't lead to much. Anderlecht hadn't gotten any further than a blocked shot from Raman when Refaelov kicked a corner to Delcroix just before half an hour. The defender ran into the ball with his knee: 0-1. Shortly before the break, the same Refaelov swung a corner on Hoedt's head and he headed the 0-2 in the center of the goal.

After the break, Anderlecht's mastery was clearer. Raman and Refaelov first missed two chances, but on the hour the Golden Boot made it 0-3. The Albanians gave him too much space, after which Refaelov kicked into the bottom left corner. Fifteen minutes before time, newcomer Zirkzee was allowed to make his debut. He almost scored, but his effort landed on the roof of the goal.
 
Anderlecht finished the match relaxed and can already prepare for the next round.
