GAMES Joshua Zirkzee has scored his first goals for Anderlecht. The Purple & White quickly fell behind, but Zirkzee found his way to the goal twice before half time. Cercle played bravely and tried to equalize after the break, but Anderlecht won. In the end, it got the most and the best chances after the break, but Didillon especially did not allow Amuzu to score the 1-3.

The kick-off had hardly been given when Cercle was already ahead. Deman had plenty of time to turn and shoot low. But Anderlecht almost scored a minute later. Zirkzee headed to goal, but the ball was blocked. In the following corner, Raman was unable to control a ball at the far post. Anderlecht had to keep chasing and following Tintin, Gomez launched a rocket to the moon. Moments later, the Spaniard did much better and Zirkzee scored the equalizer. Anderlecht made use of the space and, via Raman and Refaelove, Gomez served Zirkzee who scored his first goal centrally.

Cercle did not play bad at times and combined smoothly. Still, it couldn't create a chance. Raman did get the chance to give the Purple & White the lead on a long ball from Van Crombrugge, but ex-Anderlecht goalkeeper Didillon stretched out his arm. The lead came just before the half hour. Zirkzee lashed out from far and the ball deflected briefly so that the leather disappeared into the goal over Didillon. A little luck for the Dutchman, but those who don't dare can't win either. The last fifteen minutes did not yield any great opportunities.

After the break it was Cercle that reacted first. Vitinho ran off his flank and Murillo was able to take a corner. Van Crombrugge had to be attentive to a low bang from Vanhoutte. Anderlecht suffered a lot of loss of the ball and Cercle let go too much. Kompany brought Ashimeru for a fairly invisible Verschaeren. But the Ghanaian was not paying attention and Cercle was then able to play dangerously. Delcroix had to assist his goalkeeper on the line.

Twenty minutes before the end, Didillon passed under a ball outside the penalty area. Raman was able to go straight for goal, but hit the post. Maybe a pass would have been a better option after all? Under the impulse of substitute Amuzu, Anderlecht were able to be dangerous again. Amuzu threatened several times, but Didillon had some excellent saves. Cercle obviously tried to equalize and, as in the entire second half, showed a lot of good will. In the very last minute Didillon saved another attempt from Amuzu. This time it was a well placed free kick.

After an early deficit, Anderlecht managed to rectify the situation before half-time. After the break Anderlecht seemed to lose control of the game for a while, but Cercle only got a big chance that was taken off the line by Delcroix. After Amuzu came in, the tide turned. Cercle's candle seemed extinguished, and Amuzu was able to strike out dangerously several times. Didillon, however, was an excellent goalkeeper and so the halftime score remained on the board. Anderlecht thus deserved its second win in a row. It had many more chances than Cercle, which kept fighting.
