City unveils Kompany statue on Saturday

OTHER When Vincent Kompany closed the door of Manchester City behind him two years ago, the club already said that he would make him a statue. On Saturday, two more icons will be immortalized together with Kompany: David Silva and Sergio Aguero.


The statue of Kompany is based on an iconic moment, which he cannot reveal yet. "It is certainly one of the most emotional and meaningful moments at the club (we immediately think of the No Vinnie, don't shoot moment)."

"At least I keep my feet on the ground, but I notice that it evokes a lot of emotions in my family and that makes it meaningful."
