Anderlecht beat Zulte Waregem and close in on top 4

GAMES Anderlecht beat Zulte Waregem this weekend with 3-2. The Mauves are now ranked fifth and just one point behind the fourth place (the first four teams play the Champions Play-Offs). Refealov was man of the match with two nice goals. Zirkzee scored the other goal.

Anderlecht played a very decent match and dominated most of the game. The start was good with high pace and several chances. Verschaeren scored the 1-0 but the referee had seen offside of Kouamé in the action leading up to the goal. 

Like so often, Anderlecht's defence performed sloppy: Magallan missed an interception and allowed Gano to open the score: 0-1. Anderlecht's response came right away though: a nice combination led to a shot of Gomez, saved by Bossut, but Zirkzee equalised in the rebound. 

Anderlecht kept dominating, also in the second half.After 60 minutes, Refealov controlled the ball on the chest and scored with a nice volley: 2-1. That same Refaelov scored the third goal as well with a shot in the upper right corner: 3-1 after 71 minutes.

But again, a defensive mistake led to the 3-2 ten minutes before the end when Vossen scored with a header. Zulte Waregem mounted a final offensive, but couldn't score anymore.
