TRANSFERS According to the website TuttoMercatoWeb, Anderlecht has asked Frosinone to rent striker Gabriel Charpentier until the end of the season. From England, there are reports of interest in midfielder Matt O'Riley.
Charpentier is a 22-year-old Frenchman. Frosinone are renting him from Genoa this season and he already scored eight times for the club from Serie B, seven of which in the last eight games. Anderlecht would see in Charpentier a replacement for Christian Kouamé who is currently active at the Africa Cup. Anderlecht would have already come forward, but Frosinone won't give up on Charpentier. He is too important. The talks would continue though.
From England, Sky Sports reports that Anderlecht is one of the clubs that has/had an interest in Matt O'Riley. This 21-year-old central midfielder is a Fulham product and has completely debilitated at MK Dons over the past year and a half. This season he already scored seven goals and gave five assists. Anderlecht, however, will not be O'Riley's new club. He is about to sign with Celtic for 1.5 million pounds. He already took medical tests there. Huddersfield, Blackburn and Venezia also showed interest.
