INTERVIEWS At around 6pm on 18 May 2008, Ahmed Hassan was able to lift the Belgian Cup after winning the final against KAA Gent. It was also the Egyptian's farewell to Belgian football and, for the time being, the last Cup won for the club.

"I have rarely celebrated a trophy as much as I did then. In those two seasons, I really fell in love with the club, a bond for life", muses Hassan about his time in Brussels, "That cup we won is for me the symbol of my time with the club".

Hassan is looking forward to attending another Anderlecht match, but Monday's won't be the one, even in his home country Hassan is a busy man. But that they can count on his support is certain. "I hope with all my heart that Anderlecht wins. Despite the difficult years they are still at the top. A trophy would definitely re-launch them."
