Official: Josh Cullen to Burnley FC

TRANSFERS Josh Cullen leaves Anderlecht after almost two years for Burnley FC, the club of Vincent Kompany. The Irish international signed a contract for three years. A transfer fee was not communicated.


Cullen was acquired from West Ham United in October 2020. He played 80 games in which he managed to score once. Cullen's contract expired in 2023. It was already known for some time that Kompany had his sights set on Cullen.

With Kana, Trebel and Olsson, Anderlecht should be armed to cope with Cullen's departure.

"I want to thank everyone for the support I felt during the past 2 seasons. It was a great experience to play for this club and I wish the whole club and all the supporters all the best for the future", Cullen said after his departure. We also wish him all the best at his new club.
