"We hire Dauda with mandatory purchase option"

INTERVIEWS CD Tenerife introduced Mohamed Dauda to the press yesterday. Sports director Juan Carlos Cordero told the press that Tenerife is renting Dauda with a mandatory purchase option. Dauda himself is happy with his new club. "I am very enthusiastic about their project," he said.


"I'm happy to be here," Dauda explained. "Cordero explained the project and I am very excited about it. I want to try hard."

Sports director Cordero says the transfer was a lot of work. "It was a complex situation. We talked for a long time. We hire Dauda from Anderlecht with an obligatory buy option for three seasons if he achieves certain goals. I'm assuming those are met and so he will stay."

"Dauda is a fast, vertical footballer who is two-footed," Cordero continued. "He can play on both wings and also in the centre of the striker's area. We needed a player like that. If Dauda does well and gets called up for the World Cup, we will have to miss him for a month, but that will increase his value."
