INTERVIEWS Benito Raman got his chance from the kick-off against Cercle, but like the rest of the team his performance was not great. "This does not cause panic, but it is obvious that this is not the best preparation with a view to the European game on Thursday," he said.

"When you play with ten against eleven for so long, it is difficult to play your game", Raman told the journalists after the match. "Afterwards, it is clear that we did not start the match with the intensity we wanted. We also failed to respect our duties. We used the long ball too often. Those were flying over our heads. Esposito and I couldn't do much with them."

"After the break things went better. We had some chances to open the score. Especially Amuzu. I think I served him perfectly, but he hit the bar. At that point, because we were playing with a man less, we had nothing left to lose," Raman said."

"The coach tried a tactical move and that could have worked. I also find it strange that Cercle players were allowed to touch the ball twice with their hand or arm without it being checked by VAR. This defeat does not cause panic, but it is clear that this is not the best preparation ahead of the European game on Thursday."
