INTERVIEWS Four goals in five games. Not only at Anderlecht they are satisfied, Wolverhampton are also keen to see it happen. The Premier League club is closely following the exploits of their mercenary Fabio Silva. "Hopefully he can grow and become important for us next season.".

Two years ago Wolverhampton paid 35 million pounds, around 40 million euros, for Silva. "Sometimes you have to make courageous decisions," Wolves coach Bruno Lage told us today. "The goal is to get the best players. Tell me which good player of 21, 22 or 23 years old you can buy for 10 or 15 million pounds? Sometimes you have to pay 50 or 60 million pounds."

"That's why we have to find them when they are still young, get them and then give them a chance to grow," Lage said. "If they improve but need more time, sometimes we have to loan them out. That's the case now with Fabio. I hope he goes the same way as Morgan Gibbs-White. We rented him for six months to Swansea and then for a season to Sheffield United. Now at 22, he is a top player."

"Different environment can sometimes help you grow."

Lage hopes that Silva will be ready for Wolverhampton after a year at Anderlecht. "Last year he didn't score a single goal, now he has already scored four. It's about finding the best environment to keep growing, be happy and score goals. Sometimes a different environment can help with that. Fabio left, but extended his contract. He is still our player and we are happy about that."

"So hopefully at the end of the season we can see that he has followed the same trajectory as Gibbs-White. He left, got better and is now an important player for me and the team. That's what we want to achieve with Fabio as well."
