Vertonghen arrived at Zaventem

TRANSFERS Jan Vertonghen landed at Zaventem airport this morning. The Belgian record international will take his medical tests at Anderlecht this afternoon. It is the intention that he will be presented to the public tonight before the game against Gent.


Anderlecht wants to conclude the deal quickly and Vertonghen himself also expressed this wish to the journalists present. "The intention is to get the deal done. This is the right time and the right place. I didn't think I would still be making my debut in Belgium at the age of 35."

At 2 p.m. he took his mental tests and at 3:30 p.m. medical tests at Ghent UZ are planned. If those are good, he will sign his contract at 6 pm. The official announcement will then follow at 7 pm. Before the kick-off of the game against Gent, Anderlecht wants to present him at the Lotto Park.
