GAMES In its second match in the group stage of the Conference League, Anderlecht drew 0-0 against FCSB. In a weak match, neither team really made a claim for the three points. Also the referee wasn't any good.

Anderlecht started the game best and had the ball in the first minutes. There was no goal threat, although Amuzu did hit the goalkeeper once. Around fifteen minutes FCSB restored the balance. That led to several corner kicks. On one of them the purple and white escaped when Van Crombrugge half missed the ball and clearly pulled opponent Dawa over. Here the ball should have gone on the penalty, but there is no VAR in the Conference League. A little later Silva had a giant chance after a good action by Amuzu, but he kicked at the goalkeeper. 0-0 at half time.

After the break, the same, balanced play. Anderlecht had a few chances through distance shots by Refaelov and Arnstad. Nice balls for the goalkeeper, nothing more. Purple and white showed too little quality. Too often they lost simple balls or played too slow. FCSB showed why it is only thirteenth in Romania. Felice Mazzu tried to force it in the closing stages with Verschaeren, Duranville and Esposito, but Anderlecht escaped when Cordea kicked a dangerous counter in front. Five minutes before time, Anderlecht should also have been awarded a penalty after a foul on Esposito.

And so it remained 0-0. On October 6, Anderlecht will host West Ham at their own Lotto Park.
