Former players and board members say goodbye to Verschueren

OTHER Over the weekend supporters already said goodbye to Michel Verschueren, Saturday there was an opportunity to salute his coffin at Lotto Park. Sunday there was the tribute. Yesterday, the rest of the soccer world and his family said goodbye at the Saint Servatius Basilica in Grimbergen.


Many former players came to say goodbye to the Silver Fox including Olivier Deschacht, Marc Degryse, Morten Olsen, Jean Thissen and many others.
Former president Roger Vanden Stock also came to say goodbye and a whole delegation of the current board, Marc Coucke, Peter Verbeke and Wouter Vandenhaute.

On Mister Michel's coffin was the flag of RSC Anderlecht, a lot of flowers were in purple and white. He left the church to the tones of "You'll never walk alone."
