OTHER Het Laatste Nieuws writes today that Anderlecht currently intend to continue with Robin Veldman as head coach at least until the World Cup. Veldman knows the house best. With a new, external coach, the board does not expect to be able to ensure a major turnaround any time soon.

Five more games are scheduled before the World Cup break starts on 13 November: three in the league, one in the Conference League and one in the Belgian Cup.

The question is what happens to Veldman afterwards. Chairman Wouter Vandenhaute made it clear at his press conference on Monday that it is not the intention for Veldman to stay T1 because Anderlecht have long-term plans with him. Veldman himself seemed to see this somewhat differently, it sounded on his press conference this week.
