Verschaeren out until World Cup break

INJURIES Bad luck for Yari Verschaeren. The attacking midfielder was missing this afternoon with a knee injury. He is said to be out for two to three weeks. That means he will be out of action before the World Cup break, which starts on November 13 .


"It is very annoying that he is out," coach Robin Veldman told reporters before this afternoon's match. "Against FCSB he played well and we wanted him to combine with Fabio Silva. But our selection is wide enough. Although we will definitely miss his qualities."

With Verschaeren dropping out, Mario Stroeykens started against Eupen.
