Kompany: 'Everyone has to be behind the club'

INTERVIEWS While Anderlecht are going through a difficult period, former coach Vincent Kompany is doing very well with Burnley. Last weekend, Kompany was asked how he views the situation at Anderlecht. "I have my opinion on that, as on most things, but it is irrelevant," he replied.


"The only thing I can say is that I am a supporter and I hope they do well," said Kompany, who leads the English second division with Burnley and managed to win hearts there with beautiful football.

Many Anderlecht fans were reluctant to see Kompany leave. Does Kompany have a message for them? "I am one of them, but my time as coach was a period in the club's history. Nothing more. I support Anderlecht and wish them everything that moves them forward. I think everyone should get behind the club. I do it too."
