Refaelov: "My goal? To have Yari win the Golden Boot"

INTERVIEWS Lior Refaelov is confident that he will still be playing for Anderlecht next season. His manager put some pressure on Anderlecht on Thursday to act quickly, but Refaelov sees things working out. "It is my will and the will of the club that I stay," he told Het Nieuwsblad today.


"My manager has to do his job," Refaelov laughs when confronted with the statements. "But the intention is to stay. I have a good relationship with the chairman and with Peter Verbeke. Talks are ongoing and I assume we will reach an agreement by January."

With six goals and seven assists across all competitions, Refaelov is already enjoying a very strong season. The cooperation with Yari Verschaeren is also running very smoothly the last few games. "I like playing with him. He is one of the best soccer players in Belgium. He does need someone who guides him, who believes in him and gives him freedom to make actions. That is what I would like to be. My goal is to help him win the Golden Boot. I believe that is possible."
