Verschaeren: "Players very satisfied with Veldman"

INTERVIEWS After the dismissal of Felice Mazzu, Robin Veldman is bringing some fresh air in the team. In Het Nieuwsblad, Yari Verschaeren says he feels good under the new coach. And he is not alone. "To continue longer with Veldman? The group won't be against that," he says.


According to Verschaeren, Veldman is a coach who likes to play combination soccer. "That suits our qualities," said Verschaeren, who also points out that Veldman's style is closer to Vincent Kompany's and that the Dutchman has learned a lot from Kompany.

"Veldman has already steered the team well and the players are very satisfied," Verschaeren added. "Felice Mazzu had a very different style. Under him I also played lower, while I prefer to play as number ten."
