INTERVIEWS One of the first tasks Jesper Fredberg has on his plate is the search for a new coach. And he knows well what he wants: "The new coach must fit into the philosophy and style of play the club stands for," Fredberg said. "How we play has to be a decision of the club, not the coach."

"What becomes very important for me is the the next head coach fits into the philosophy and playing style the club stands for," Fredberg stated during his press presentation. "The way we play soccer in the future should be a decision of the club and not of the coach. So we have to find the right profile that fits into this."

I have candidates who could potentially be interesting, but it is not yet the time to share that info," Fredberg said. "I have a large network within which I know of interesting profiles, but there are coaches out there as well. A profile that fits one club is not necessarily a good profile for Anderlecht. The coach we recruit must be able to bring our way of playing soccer.

"Obviously, I will use my network and experience to bring the right profile to Anderlecht."
