Hoedt already definitely not, but who will replace Debast?

OTHER With Hannes Delcroix out for weeks, the question arises who will play alongside Jan Vertonghen on Sunday if Zeno Debast does not get fit. Wesley Hoedt certainly won't be it already. "His situation remains unchanged," says coach Brian Riemer. 


Despite the problems at centre-back, a (one-off) return of Hoedt has been ruled out. "The situation for Wesley remains the same. Nothing changes about that," said Riemer.

"We have enough good, young players at Anderlecht. His are making good progress. We have several options, depending on how we want to play. Because if Zeno doesn't play, we have to look not only at how we want to defend, but also how we want to build up. That will also influence choice of a replacement."

Asked if it is an option to bring Amadou Diawara to the back, Riemer nodded in agreement. "That is possible. We have done that before and he did well. We also know that Sardella can play at centre-back. Just like Sadiki."
