TRANSFERS If Anderlecht want to strengthen this winter mercato, it must first get rid of €7 million in wages. So writes Het Laatste Nieuws. So in that respect, we have to see the fact that captain Hendrik Van Crombrugge has to leave.

Anderlecht's financial situation is going from bad to worse. Although president Marc Coucke announced some time ago that wages were to fall, they had risen last season. From 49.8 to 57 million euros.

This summer Anderlecht again waved generous salaries. Jan Vertonghen gets 3 million euros for two years. Amuzu was convinced to stay in exchange for a pay rise. To Fabio Silva, Anderlecht pays a hefty salary during his loan spell.

So Anderlecht will have to turn over every euro not twice, but at least ten times this winter. CEO of Sports Jesper Fredberg has to get rid of players worth €7 million in salary costs. Otherwise, there will be no room for reinforcements.

At €1.6 million/year, Van Crombrugge is the player with the biggest salary after Trebel (€2.7 million/year). Wesley Hoedt (1.2 million), Lior Refaelov (1.3 million) and Sebastiano Esposito (0.5 million) also concern a nice sum. Van Crombrugge, Hoedt and Esposito hope Anderlecht will get rid of them this winter. Only ... there is little to no interest.
