OTHER In its weekly afterthought, the Professional Refereeing Department informs that Moussa N'Diaye was rightly ruled out. The VAR's call to review the offside phase and look at the foul was also justified.

"N'Diaye goes into duel and pushes the Union player in the back, whereupon the latter goes down," the analysis begins.

"The referee whistles offside. The VAR looks at the footage and sees that there is no offside. There is an 'on-field review' and there the referee sees that the Union player can go at goal alone and he is denied a real goal opportunity. The referee shows the red card."

"This is a correct VAR intervention and a correct final decision by the referee," concludes the Professional Refereeing Department
