Riemer: "I am ashamed"

INTERVIEWS We almost dare not to write it, but it is effectively true, Sunday RSC Anderlecht awaits a relegation topper against Seraing. Coach Brian Riemer was honestly harsh after the match: "I am embarrassed".


Riemer even went so far as to admit that there is a chance that, if they keep playing like this, RSC Anderlecht will play in 1B next season. "In football, anything is possible and there is only one way to avoid that and that is to start winning urgently".

"I was hugely satisfied with the point at Club Brugge, it gave us confidence, tonight we took another two steps backwards. If not even more. This is a sad day, I am ashamed. Ashamed that our supporters have to go through this. It's up to us now to stand up."
