Anderlecht wants Englishman Toffolo as left-back

OTHER The Daily Mirror reports that Anderlecht have set their sights on Harry Toffolo, a 27-year-old left-back from Nottingham Forest. The Premier League number 13 paid €2.5 million for Toffolo in the summer, but he could not yet break through.


Toffolo was a regular at Huddersfield in the English second division for the 2.5 years before his transfer to Nottingham. Before that, he played for several clubs in the third and fourth divisions.

This season, Toffolo made six starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League. In the FA Cup, he played one full match and gave an assist.

Nottingham now want Toffolo on loan. Due to Nottingham's many transfers this season, it needs to let two more players go this month to comply with the Premier League's home-grown rules.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Toffolo is at the very top of Anderlecht's wish list.
