Fredberg: 'No new contract Trebel'

INTERVIEWS The decision has been made: Adrien Trebel will not get a new contract at Anderlecht. CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg told that today in talks with the press. "A new contract is not an option," it sounds. According to Fredberg, there are several reasons. "His salary is one, but he also does not fit into our sporting plans."


Fredberg says he had a good conversation with Trebel to communicate the decision. The French midfielder will, however, just finish the season with the A-core.

Tomorrow against Ostend, Trebel will not be there. Last weekend, he injured his hamstrings. Did that potentially cost him a transfer on Deadline Day? "I don't have a crystal ball, but there were options," Fredberg refers to Sochaux and Charleroi's interssees.
