YOUTH At no other Belgian club do so many of Anderlecht's own youth players come into action and nowhere do they make so many playing minutes together. That is what Het Nieuwsblad calculated. No less than fifteen players from Anderlecht's own youth came into action for Anderlecht this season. Together, they are good for 45 percent of the playing minutes.

Het Nieuwsblad took as its criterion for this count that a player must have played at least two seasons for the club's youth teams.

With fifteen of their own youth players, Anderlecht is doing far better than Standard. The people from Liège already drafted nine. They are followed by Ostend with seven and Ghent, Cercle and KV Mechelen with six.

Anderlecht's youth products account for 45 percent of the number of playing minutes of all core players this season. Cercle Brugge follows at a distant distance with 27.9 percent. Next is Standard with 26 percent and Genk with 25.4 percent.

At the very bottom are West Flanders clubs Kortrijk (a double zero) and Zulte Waregem (2 players, 0.1 percent).
