The tournament in Drongen promises to be extra competitive this year, with 12 teams vying for the trophy. Anderlecht's last win dates back to 2018, led by coach Benoit Haegeman, with players such as Zeno Debast, Roméo Lavia, Alonzo Engwanda, Mario Stroeykens and Johan Bakayoko in the winning team. Anderlecht is placed in Group A with Manchester City and RB Leipzig.

RSCA U19 qualified for cup final

The second leg in the semi-finals of the Belgian Cup was not an easy one for David Hubert's team. The match ended in a 1-2 defeat, requiring a penalty shootout to determine the finalist. Despite a 1-2 defeat in the first match, Westerlo managed to fight back at RSCA Belfius Academy. Goto scored for Anderlecht, but the visitors came back into the game with a penalty kick before half-time.
