Goalkeepers thank Boeckx with crate of Duvel

OTHER Frank Boeckx said goodbye as Anderlecht's goalkeeping coach on Sunday in Eupen. In his debriefing, coach Brian Riemer said he had spent the past month trying to convince Boeckx and his wife as yet, but in vain. The goalkeepers thanked Boeckx with a nice gift.


Boeckx is quitting for family reasons. He wants to be with his family and children more. "For a month I tried to convince Frank and his wife that we would find a solution," Riemer said after the game against Eupen. "But we respect his decision."

The goalkeepers already had a fitting farewell gift for their coach. Upon arrival at the club yesterday, Boeckx found a container of Duvel at his locker. On it were other gifts. In response to the mail, Lukasz Teodorczyk jokingly sent if Boeckx is now going to Liege. "Haha, you're crazy," Boeckx replied. "I'm going home where two little 'fuckers' need me."
