Häcken denies Anderlecht bid for Traoré

TRANSFERS In a comment to Het Nieuwsblad, Martin Ericsson, the sporting director of BK Häcken, denies that Anderlecht has made a bid for striker Benie Traore. That news was sent out yesterday afternoon. Ericsson does not seem intent on letting Traore go for next to nothing, though.


According to Ericsson, a lot of European clubs are interested in Traore. Besides Anderlecht, Union is also mentioned and Ajax went to scout him just yesterday. "Benie s ia high potential player," said Ericsson, who would not say anything about a possible transfer price. "I can only say that Benie Traoré is an expensive player given his potential."

So an offer from Anderlecht or any club is not yet there, according to Häcken's sporting director. But what is not, can still come. "We'll see what happens this summer."
