OTHER Although we won't know this season's champion until Sunday night, there are quite a few changes awaiting next season. For instance, all clubs in 1A will still have to compete after the regular season.

The regular season consists of 30 games (there are 16 clubs in 1A).

After that, the first six play the Champions' Play-Offs. The winner gets to go to the group stage of the Champions League (thanks to the good results of Belgian clubs in Europe this season). The second may go to the preliminary round of the Champions League, the third to the preliminary round of the Conference League. The fourth in the standings will play another play-off against the winner of the Europe Play-Offs. The winner of those clashes may also advance to the preliminary round of the Conference League.

So the clubs that finish in places seven to 12 will play the Europe Play-Off.

The places thirteen to sixteen have to play the Play-Downs. Only the winner of that Play-Down is sure of retention. The last one and the penultimate one are directly relegated. The fourteenth plays against the winner of the Play-Offs in the Challenger Pro League.

In the Challenger Pro League, the first two in the standings promote. The clubs finishing in places three to six will play the Play-Offs. The RSCA Futures can be relegated, but not promoted. They cannot participate in the Play-Offs next season.
