TRANSFERS According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion are now also showing interest in Bart Verbruggen. If Anderlecht let their goalkeeper go, he will have to bring in around €15 million, according to the newspaper.

Verbruggen has also been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool in recent months. In that case, these would be transfers with an eye on the future and with Anderlecht hoping to hire him first. Brighton and Burnley are clubs where he could become a key player sooner.

At Brighton, 25-year-old Spaniard Robert Sanchez started the season as goalkeeper. In the last 15 duels, he lost his place to 32-year-old Jason Steele, previously second goalkeeper and only active in the lower leagues. At Burnley, 24-year-old Arijanet Muric was between the posts last season. He came over from Manchester City.
