Dolberg wins and leaves Danish selection

GAMES Kasper Schmeichel and Kasper Dolberg (pictured) were both in the starting lineup for Denmark in last night's 3-1 win against Kazakhstan. Dolberg did immediately return to his home in Brussels after the match. He skipped the match against San Marino to be with his newborn twins.


Schmeichel played the entire match. Dolberg was substituted in the 69th minute. The final score was on the board by then.

Denmark shares the lead in Group H together with Slovenia. Finland and Kazakhstan follow on four points. There are still three duels to play.

The first is Tuesday against San Marino, last in the pool with zero points and a goal difference of 0-24. It was agreed beforehand that Dolberg would be allowed to miss this match to be with his family.
