INTERVIEWS With ten goals, Kasper Dolberg is currently second in the top marksman standings. But the striker wants more, individually and as a team. "My goal is to become top scorer," he told Het Nieuwsblad. "And I want to win trophies here."
Sixteen, that is Dolberg's record number of goals in one season. He scored them in the Ajax shirt. The Dane is well on his way to doing better this season. "I would be very disappointed if I don't break my record, but I am convinced that I will succeed," he says.
Dolberg is also pleasantly surprised by the level of the Belgian league. He rates the top three in the Netherlands higher, but he thinks the general level is better in Belgium. "Here they play more organized and physical soccer. Sometimes I immediately get a few ticks when I come onto the pitch."
Dolberg's ambition this season is clear: "I want to win more trophies," he says. "If you are second after 16 matches, you can be ambitious." Although the striker adds that the road is still long and the game still has to improve.
Let there be no doubt about it: Kasper Dolberg feels excellent at Anderlecht. On and off the pitch. "I think my wife and I have found a place where we can stay for a while, yes."
