"Statements Hoefkens were too personal"

INTERVIEWS At his press conference after the match against Antwerp, Brian Riemer also returned to Carl Hoefkens' statements about Kasper Schmeichel. Riemer found this criticism too personal and especially lamented that Standard also posted it on social media.


"That journalists write about this is their job. That fans discuss it on café is the beauty of soccer. But for a club to talk about other players like that and post it on social media, I think that's wrong. That's too personal. We have to be competitors, but in a fair way. Without getting too personal, I'm not like that," Riemer said.
